Library Aides

Section 1: Library Duties

• Daily activities include such things as: making deliveries, rearranging library furniture, straightening or organizing, putting textbooks away, helping teachers or other students, etc. 

• Shelving - everyone will be assigned at least one section of the library that he/she is responsible for.  When you come to the library, immediately check in with Mrs. Coble or Ms. Jorja to see if they have something that needs to be done immediately, then shelve the books in your section.  Read your section - make sure that all books are in the correct order and that everything is neat, clean, and organized.

Section 2: Book Project

• Select a book to read.  This book must be approved by Mrs. Coble. 

• After you read your book, write a book review.  The book review must be between 5 and 10 sentences long.  Provide interesting details so that I know you read the book.  Think of this as an advertisement.  You want other students to want to read this book.  Type your review in a Word document and let me check it.

• When it is approved, add your review to Destiny.

• Then, create a Voki and record your review for your Voki to say.

   

Section 3: Learning 2.0 - The 10 "Things"

• You will create a blog and complete the tutorial for the 10 "Things."  If a site is blocked at school, I will provide an alternative activity for you to do.

 Section 4: Discussion

• There are 2 discussion questions for Semester 1.  You must have at least 2 entries for each question.  This is a school project so you must capitalize the first word in every sentence and all proper nouns, including your name. All sentences must be complete sentences. You must spell all words correctly.  There is no spell check on the wiki so you may want to write your response in Word then copy and paste it onto the wiki.
